  • Over the years, I've seen countless city tours, brochures, and flyers pass by, but almost everywhere I missed the real substance and a connection to what truly fascinates people. With a background rooted in a passion for the history of Nijmegen, I knew: I want to create something that everyone can follow along with, but above all, something contemporary with a unique quality. No mass tourism, but personal attention. With me, you don't just walk a standard route; together, we step into your own adventure. Whether you have specific interests, want to hear certain stories, or want to experience Nijmegen from an angle that suits you—I tailor the walk to fit. That is what makes every walk unique. Bookings

Although it is preferred to book a walk at least a week in advance for proper planning, a last-minute request is also possible, after which we will always get in touch as soon as possible. The request is only final upon receipt of a confirmation email upon agreement.

Costs

Walking with Roy is a hobby that got a bit out of hand rather than a commercial business. I love showing people the rich history of Nijmegen and heading out together.

​The walks are therefore based on a spirit of voluntarism and enjoyment. There are no fixed rates or prices charged. Because organizing, preparing, and leading the walks does take time and energy (and results in wear and tear on equipment, for example), a voluntary donation afterwards is, of course, very much appreciated.

​You are completely free to decide whether you want to give anything and how much that should be, fitting your own budget. What you give is a personal gift and not a payment for a service.

  • Safe on the road: I hold an official VOG (Certificate of Conduct) for public guidance.
  • Own risk: Participation in the city walk is entirely at your own risk.
  • Clothing & footwear: Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
